Thirsty Thursday: Irish Death Beer Review

City of Origin: Ellensburg, WA

Packaging: Super cool and eye catching. I like that they put a customer review on the side of the can even though it seemed a bit hyped up in my opinion.

Taste: It was a bit too hoppy and bitter for a dark ale, I feel like dark ale should be a little smoother. Not as bitter as a dark IPA, which is what I felt like i was drinking. Once you get about a half a beer in the bitterness kind of fades away. Once I got past the first half, I looked forward to the next one.

Feel: Not an overfilling beer, and it gave me a bit of a buzz.

Would I buy it again?: I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy this particular beer, but if this was the only choice I wouldn’t be upset about drinking it at all.

Review: The Habit Burger Grill

img_0862.jpg

Recently these little burger spots have been popping up EVERYWHERE in the Seattle area. When Andrew got promoted to work in Silverdale a few months ago, one just happened to already be located right next to his job. Well now he goes just about every week for lunch. He  can’t get enough of it!

They put one in right down the road from our house, and it had it’s grand opening a few weeks ago. I didn’t go to the grand opening, but I did go a few days later and let me tell you, it is amazing! Apparently they come from California, which makes them a chain. I normally hate restaurant chains, especially of the fast food variety. Whoever thought this place up is a genius, because it has literally turned into a habit around here. Just yesterday I FaceTimed Andrew at work to ask him what he was having for lunch and he told me he went to the Habit. So I said “oh that sounds so good! That’s what I’m going to have too.” And I hung up and went to The Habit. So anyway, here is my review!

Setting: Bright and happy. The minute you walk in you are welcomed in like they know you personally. It’s definitely a fast food setting, except not dirty and sticky, and with comfortable chairs instead of hard, plastic ones. A+

Service: Fast like lightning. You do wait a little bit longer than say, McDonald’s, but that is because it is real, tasteful food so it’s completely worth it. I did order the club with no bacon, and when it came out it did indeed have bacon on it. But you know what they did when I brought it up? Remade the whole thing, gave us 2 free char burger coupons, and free ice cream cones for my kids. If that’s not great service, then I don’t know what is. A+

Food: Amazing! I love that they have a variety. You don’t have to be a burger person to love eating here, they also have tasty salads like the BBQ chicken salad, and yummy sandwiches like the chicken club. And the milkshakes? Don’t even get me started on the milkshakes. They are perfect. A+

Price: Decent. You get the perfect portion of food for a fair price. It is real food, so you are going to pay a little more than average fast food, but it is worth it. We fed our family of four for under $40, and that is about average I would say. A+

So as you can see, The Habit is amazing and you should go visit the one that is closest to you.
